I had this… I love polka dots!!! I had this… I love ric rac!!! I had this stuff…. I love it too except they never put enough in one package to do a quilt so you have to buy two and then you have lots left over. I had this dish towel… actually I had 2. Not a big fan of dish towels. I was always the dryer when my brother and I did the dishes. I don’t like doing dishes thus… I don’t like dish towels except… When you cut them in half… See you have it already finished on one side.\ So you cut a strip of polka dot fabric and fold it in half the long way and sew it to the unfinished edge. Then sew on your ric rac… Make a casing on the back with your extra blanket binding…
I LOVE them too!! Very very cute. I'm glad you didn't use the cherry fabric. Too much white in it. Your kitchen looks soooo different from a year ago. Great makeover. Mimi
Well now aren't you the clever one! They look terrific Grams ... I love polka dots too. (I keep saying it's because I'm a little dotty myself - thank heavens people don't believe me. LOL!) Warmest hugs, Sandi @ Bearly Sane
Oh, that is CLEVER! I never would have guessed that your cute curtains were made of dishtowels, and I never would have imagined you could make curtains out of towels! I'm a sucker for anything RED with polka dots and rickrack too? Well, that's just over the top! They look great, and if you want to change them you can do it easily and inexpensively. Brilliant!
I love your blog...I'm following you now....makes me want to re do my kitchen.. I just wrote a blog on painting my baby room..I did "How TO" for 'words on walls'...I like yours in your kitchen. ..www.girlinair.com
