DRESSES FOR HAITI

I have two friends named Sue. I call them "My Sues". One is Mimi Sue - she has a blog, the other doesn't (slacker!)

Anyway my Sues and I like to go places together and one day we went to Quilter's Haven in Bountiful. They had a little basket with some fabric rolled up with a pattern for a pillowcase dress that you could take and make and bring back and they would send the dresses to Haiti.

Well we were game.

This was my kit...

See the cute little cherries on the fabric?

And this is what I made with it...

Of course I had to add a little something to it. The Haitians love bright colors.

And I had to add a little flower...

I tried it on Dolly...

It was a little big.

So I tried it on Dirty Faced Teddy...

Perfect! It should fit one of those chubby little Haitian babies just fine. I'm going to go make them some more.

Maybe I should make one for my chubby little 1/2 Haitian grand baby.
