RED! WHO ME?

In case you were wondering, I LOVE RED!  And today is Wednesday or REDNESDAY.
 A 24
Sue over at  It's a Very Cherry World hosts  this event every Wednesday and I have decided to join her.
First, I found this cute little red picture from a friend on Facebook…

Isn’t she cute. I was born in Canada and was raised in Vancouver so I have had so much fun watching the Olympics this year and yes, it’s makes me very homesick. Utah has it’s beauties but it is nothing like British Columbia.
Anyway, for Rednesday I decided to share…
MY RED QUILT…

I made this quilt several years ago. I am fortunate enough to have an embroidery machine and I found these cute little redwork patterns somewhere…

I made blocks with them and I put a smaller version of them all around the border.

The cute gal on the bicycle is called, “petal pusher” and I loved her so much that I had to use her even though she had nothing to do with the “sewing” theme. I put her on each corner

I made some pinwheel blocks to alternate with the redwork blocks and did a little patchwork…

Then I quilted it with my machine, scalloped the edges and trimmed it and there you have it…

My red quilt.
HAPPY REDNESDAY

Your quilt is just gorgeous, and what alot of work that went into the making of it!! I'm a big fan of redwork, and I especially love the petal pusher.
I'm enjoying watching the Olympics too, and happy to see the Canadians doing so well!
Happy REDnesday!

I LOVE the quilt!! Will you make me one? It doesn't have to be quite so detailed, just a little something I can lie to people about and tell them I made it! :)

PS I have some of those red polka dot plates that Joy posted about. I got mine at co op chicks in Layton but they're by Moda and they're on the Moda website.

Oh, I am so envious and in awe of your red and white quilt! I just love anything red and white. And everyone who knows me at all knows I'm a quilt gal. Made many over the years. I need an embroidery machine, I can see, if it makes up stitches that pretty. I can no longer do sewing handwork due to a car accident/surgeries in 1998/1999. Oh, how I miss it!

Redwork is so pretty - do you hang it or is it on a bed?

(Sorry I'm late this week!)
