I had to stop my remodeling lunacy to do some sewing.
Sewing used to be my lunacy. I sewed everything for my kids except for their socks and shoes. I made matching Christmas jammies…
Every year…
Even for visitors…
It was total lunacy. Just ask my husband.
I always made them matching outfits…
I even made my twins matching outfits for their 10th birthday.
Poor kids!
Anyway, My sweet granddaughter, Brooklyn is turning 8 and that is a very important time in the LDS (Mormon) church. That is when we baptize our kids. We also bless or christen our babies.
My husband will be home from Iraq in a few weeks so will have a special family day and baptize Brooklyn and bless London.
I’ve made most of my grandkids’ blessing and baptism outfits so the tradition must carry on…
We had a fun photo session last night…
Brooklyn Lily…..
London Rose….
Then we had some fun.
We pulled out my jewelry box…
We couldn’t get London to look at us for anything. She was so engrossed in all the pretties…
Then came Great-Grandpa’s (my dad’s) hat. When Brooklyn was little I got some really cute shots of her one day playing with it…
Six years ago…
Today….
I just thought this one was funny…
Even London tried it on…
Now it’s back to my remodeling lunacy.

Oh my gosh Grams, you are amazing. I love the dresses but the pictures of that baby are adoreable. Your husband is going to be amazed at your fabulous bedroom.

Very fun that your husband will be home!
I love your lunacy. I wish I could sew that well. My gram made all of my mama's clothes...in fact she was still hand stitching the silk rosette on the back of her wedding gown 30 seconds before she walked the isle :)
Fabulous photos, beautiful little girls...congrats on the ceremonies!
Beautiful dresses, beautiful little girls. You did an amazing job with the photos. Glad your HUbby will be home soon.
Those dresses are gorgeous. How special that their Gram made those for them. I haven't sewn in so long, other than repairs and a few alterations. Must get my sewing machine out again!
Oh you did a wonderful job! You are one doozy of a work woman( I was gonna say work horse but decided that didn't sound very good)..lol I'll bet you are anxious to have your hubby get home.
You're family was/is beautiful and I can tell that you are just as beautiful inside as out! Hugs- Diana
