WAHOOOOO!!!!
I’m off to Bear Lake to camp in the rain while my silly beautiful daughters run in a marathon.
WAHOOOOO!!!!
Okay, I finally got around to making these. I’ve been very distracted with my garden and fixing up my motor home for it’s first outing hopefully this weekend.
So here they are.
They are $20.00
I was visiting my Emma’s yesterday and she took me to her basement to show me what she was making. She had several of these boards all painted. Isn’t it cute. She gave me this one.
It’s a 2 x 6 that she painted. She said she wanted to get some kind of stars to put on the blue. Well I suggested just cutting out vinyl ones with my Silhouette. So I went home and cut her out a bunch of stars.
Of course I couldn’t just stop there. Nooo, I had to “OVERDO IT” so here is what else I did.
Yup, it’s good and overdone.
I got the fishpond up and running.
You know for my fish.
Silly Grams! Fishponds are for kids!!!
Yup, they must be fish.
You gotta love em!!! Who else would put up with our little darlings day after day, week after week.
I’ve always been one to try and give a little something at the end of the year as a thank you and my daughter’s have continued on with the tradition.
Bekah called me yesterday with a request for help with a present for her girl’s teachers. Of course school ends tomorrow. She does like to challenge me but that’s okay. I work best under pressure.
She’d seen this saying somewhere and wanted to use it. Soooo, this is what I came up with.
I hope they like them.
Here are my latest letters for sale.
I really love this time of year. I was born Canadian and married an American so I eventually became a citizen. I have always admired the patriotism of the USA.
My husband is a Veteran and is now working in Iraq. I have one son who served a year in Afghanistan and is in the Army National Guard. I also have another son who is in the Air Force Reserves so we try and do our part.
This is the first of several patriotic things that I am going to make to sell.
They are $25.00 a set so leave me a comment or email me if you would like some.
Look what I stole. Well, rescue is more like it. My neighbor was going to take this to the dump! It was all in pieces and in their trailer and it sat there for a few days along with all sorts of other junk. I had glanced over there several times and thought… What the heck is that? Then it hit me. I know what that is. We used to have one when I was little. (Yes I am that old.)
Can you believe it? Some people have no appreciation for the finer things in life.
Well I grabbed it ant put it all back together…..
I added some gravel and potting mix…..
Then some plants and flowers…..
And now I have a new planter….
A REAL WRINGER!! ( get it????)
A fascination with bugs!
So of course I had to make him a BUG HOUSE.
Where are the bugs Mugga? (That’s what he has called me since he was very little and I love it)!
Over there?
Okay, here I go...
The other day while shopping at our local grocery store I found butterfly nets that were 4 for $5.00. What a steal. I bought a bunch to take camping but no one can wait for that. I wish I had a picture of our little boys and girls chasing butterflies through our field but alas it never happened. Instead we caught a water bottle, some precious rocks, an otter pop, a screwdriver and lots of heads.
A friend of mine ordered some of my LOVE LETTERS for her daughters for Mother’s Day but she didn’t want them in all red. So I made them with some green and gold and red.
A fun idea if you want them to be up all year.
Does anyone remember a movie with Dolly Parton in which she introduces her son by saying in a very monotonous voice, “This is my son, I am so proud of him.”
Well my husband an I thought it very hilarious at the time because we had a son going through a bad spot and it took all we had to find something about him that we could be proud of. I think it was just what we needed to teach us to laugh rather than cry, so it has kind of become a private joke.
Anyway, I took my daughters to dinner for a belated Mother’s day dinner and then we did out traditional trip to Ross’s where they try on all sorts of outfits and entertain me with their antics.
Here are the results…
Kind of different from the pictures in my previous post huh. Oh how I love my girls and yes I really am proud of them!
Women’s Conference was wonderful as usual. Such a spiritual, uplifting time. Here are a few pictures.
Lots and lots of women!
Vickie and me.
Riding the shuttle.
This is ECLIPSE. They are an acapella group that are absolutely fabulous.
A little culture. That is a harpsichord.
Elder L. Tom Perry, our concluding speaker.
I’m already anticipating next year!
