I'm still recovering. The kids surprised me with a party a Red Robin's.
I came around the corner and there they were waiting for me. All 21 of them.
I had no clue. Emma and Neil and kids picked me up and said it was just us.
More presents! This is a corner clamp so I can make picture frames. (I used to use a ratchet tie down)
Hailey and Aubrey used their own money to but me some of my favorite treats.
Zoe gave me a picture of her and her new baby sister.
We really had a wonderful time.
And to top it all off, little Joshua Phillips who lives down the street and is in my Primary class brought me a birthday cupcake. This is becoming a sweet tradition. His little sister Naomi's birthday is the same day as mine so he and his Dad walked down to bring me this. Thanks Josh and Naomi.
Thank you everyone who left me such nice comments and who called me and came over. I love you all!!!
Remember this window? Of course you do! I know that my followers (all two of you) have been waiting so patiently ever since I posted this picture in a previous post. Well here is what I did with it.
I hung it up above my island.
I put the word "KITCHEN" in the top pane.
Caleb says it's a good thing to label my rooms so he knows where they were when he comes over. (I have a penchant for knocking down walls and moving things around.)
His friend Casey came over the other day and when he walked in he said, "I love this place. It reminds me of Willy Wonka's. Everything is always changing and it has so much going on."
I glued some clothes pins on the frame and clipped up some old valentine post cards I had
I also hung a pretty red berry wreath on it. (Note the dinosaur.I think it really helps to "finish" the whole look.)
I am the Mother of 7 grown kids and Grams to 14 of the most beautiful and loving Grandkids in the whole world. My family is my life. My husband is working in Iraq right now so I try to keep busy so I won't miss him too much.
