I'M DONE (MAYBE)?

There are two things in life that I live by..........
"It's not done until it's overdone!"
and
"If it's worth doing , it's worth overdoing!"
Soooooo, I am definitely living up to it.

Caleb made this metal witch for me.
I love her.
She is all rusty and old looking.
(Just like me.)

My dining room

Yes I
am!

If there is a flat surface,
it gets decorated.

There's not a safe corner anywhere.

My friend Sue made me
this darling spider.
I love it!

Love this spider guy.
I got him at a
garage sale for 50 cents.

Care for some Witch under Glass?

I made this little wall hanging a couple of years ago.

There are lots of Halloween Blog parties going on right now. If you want, check these two out here and here
Just follow all the links and maybe you can become as obsessed as I am.

GRAM'S HALLOWEEN CRAFT DAY

How else do you keep a bunch of kids busy on a school holiday?
You feed them, you make them work hard,
and then you let them make a big mess.

We made egg carton spiders and bats

Salt dough ghosts and goblins

I found the idea for this guy over at
THE HOUSE OF WHIMSEY

So we thought it would be fun to give him a try.
We made witches, pumpkins and skeletons, oh my.

All in a row.

Even Missy and Meadow got in on the fun.

Some cupcakes with sprinkles and hanging on the monkey bars finished up the day.

I'm one worn out Grams.

IF HE WON'T MOVE IT, DECORATE IT!!!

This "thing" sits on my driveway. It is the love of my son's life (well, after his girlfriend and dog) but no matter what I do or say he will not move it. Of course being the baby of the family, he thinks he can get away with anything, and it's pretty much true. He just looks at me with that sweet face and says; "You know you love it Mom."
I DO NOT LOVE IT!

SOOOOOOOO... This is what I did to it. Of course he thinks it awesome.

Oh the joy and utter delight at Gram's Halloween party last year.
The sweet dears had so much fun!

MERRY CHRISOWEEN!!!

Look what I woke up to. I love it! This is why we live in Utah.

Nothing like snow on the
Halloween decorations!

Maybe I should make a snowman to sit beside my witch.

This is when this slide is really fun!

How about a ride in my little
"Covered Wagon."

Anyone up for a snowball fight?

From UGLY to SCARY!

I suppose that at sometime this was beautiful to someone. But alas, they had the sense to throw it out so I could rescue it. You know, some woman's trash is my treasure.

So off came the top and what do you know, it landed on Brooklyn's head.

Then out came the trusty black paint and in went a skeleton.

Now he sits in the bathroom ready to scare the ****** out of you.

HELP ME! I'M FALLING

What else do you do when it is FALL but put up the Halloween decorations. Every year I tell myself tha
t I'm just going to put up a few things this year but of course once I get started, I can't stop.

Someone's flying by

I woke Missy up taking this picture.

See her down there looking disgusted.
(How dare I)

I painted these pumpkins

Lit up at night

Added some purple lights and
leaves to my new picture board

Got busy outside.

The teenagers love this and laugh as I drive by.

This is me!

Ring around the Rosie

Hang in there honey!

TRASH TO TREASURE

My dear friend Sue was wanting a way to display her photos of past Halloweens. We came up with a few ideas as we wandered around a couple of boutiques.

Then at the same time we both remembered something that her daughter had made a few years back.

An old window frame with chicken wire stapled to the back.

We hurried home and made her one. After she took it home and painted it and hung it, she sent me a picture on my phone. Of course I had to make one for myself.

We used large paper clips with buttons glued to the ends for hanging the pictures on it and old door knobs to hang them on the wall.

Fun huh?

I got the windows and door knobs from the old house that Bekah and Troy used to live in. I better go get some more because they are planning on knocking the house down soon.
