PAINTING POTS IN PAJAMAS

And other fun things.

DSCF1387

It’s Spring Break so that means sleepovers and crafts with Grams.

DSCF1379

We painted Styrofoam cups to look like clay pots and then decorated them.

DSCF1381

We baked chocolate cupcakes (in pajamas) and frosted them with chocolate frosting, put some candy in the bottom of our pots and then put the cupcakes in.

DSCF1386

We took flower shaped sugar cookies, (thank you Wal-Mart) and put some frosting and M&M’s on them. I actually hot glued them onto a stick then stuck them into the cupcake and used some green peanut M&M’s for the leaves.

DSCF1397

I think it would have helped if the cupcakes were not so fresh because the flowers tended to fall over.

We also painted a decorated plastic eggs. (In Pajamas!)

DSCF1367

They are very beautiful!

DSCF1375

Then being the mean Grams that I am I made them sort buttons. (In Pajamas)

DSCF1376

Lots and lots of buttons!

DSCF1392

Then we took a trip to the bead store(in pajamas) so we could make bracelets.

And last but not least, hanging out in the trees with other cousins.

(Not in Pajamas!)

GOT DISHES?

I have a new DISHWASHER. Who knew?

Reminds me of the old story my husband loves to tell.

There was once a man invited to a friend’s house for dinner. When he sat down to eat he noticed the plates were nailed to the table. He asked his host  how they cleaned the dishes. The response was, “They’re as clean as soap and water can get them.”

Being satisfied he piled his plate with food and ate it all. After everyone finished eating, the man now wanted to see how the dishes were done. To his dismay, his host opened the back door, whistled and called, “Here Soap, here Water!”

That’s my funny for the day.

I LOVE QUICKIES

Just a couple of quick projects.

I love my SILHOUETTE cutter. It is beyond me why anyone would buy a CRICUT when you can buy a SILHOUETTE for $150.00 and cut anything you want without having to buy cartridges or anything else.

The vine pattern came with the machine and I found the rabbit online and just copied it into the program and it automatically formatted it to cut it out.

I got the plate at a thrift store for $1.00. There you have it, quickie # 1.

Quickie # 2...

My Bekah came over yesterday to make these little wet wipe containers for a couple of her friends. All you do is cover them with a little batting and fabric and glue it down and trim it out with some ribbon and accessories.

We dug through my stash and found this airplane I had done 3 years ago. It worked out perfectly for the little boy one.

And just look how cute she made them. She just put them on a package of wipes and tied them on with some cute ribbon.

I found this wreath at the same thrift store and put it around this jar I have.

I put a little nest is it with a little birdie...

and there you have it, quickie # 3.

CHEEEEZE

I was taking pictures the other day of the Granddaughters for a project I want to do and little Miley J was my best model.

Don't you love those cheeks!

Pretty blue eyes.
( If you are as old as I am you will remember that song!)

The pose.

How about a closeup Grams!

I WISH THIS WAS ME!

Just too tired to eat.

Believe me it will never happen. I can eat anywhere, anytime and probably do eat in my sleep.

Little Franklin went with me to Church on Sunday. Then he came home and played with uncle Josh so that by dinnertime, he just couldn't take it any longer.

Too cute!

TIME OUT

Need I say more......

When you have 3 yr old twin boys, sometimes you have to get a little inventive.
My Emma sent me this from her phone and I still laugh hard whenever I look at it.

NEED A SNACK?

Honestly, couldn't you just eat her?

Both of them are soooo yummy!

Who doesn't need a little ham now and then?

Oooooooo I could just eat them.

Handsome, dude!

Love those brown eyes!

Even Daddy agrees.

I have been begging my oldest daughter to get some professional family pictures done forever. She found an absolutely wonderful photographer here

Aren't they beautiful? Thank you Liz.

I REALLY NEED TO PAINT THE SHED!

Don't you hate it when the snow all melts and you find all sorts of ugly stuff under it?

This shed really needs a makeover.

I have 3 sons that are painters but you know how it is...
"The Cobbler's kids go barefoot!"

I guess when you look at something everyday you don't notice how bad it is getting until you want to post something cute on your blog.

And WHAMOO, it hits you in the face.

Yup, I really need to paint this shed!

I LOVE A CHALLENGE

My Bekah called on Monday night and reminded me that I hadn't done a spring door hanger yet and she needed one the next day for a party she was having. So....

This is what I came up with.

A big spring flower with eggs as petals
that spell "Happy Easter"

I used fun spring paper and added
a cute little chick in the middle.

And it is all blinged out for spring.

LOVIN' O THE GREEN

Happy St Patty's Day! There is not a lick of Irish in us but we love the food and I love the color.

And of course I love to decorate for a holiday.

I made a fun plate with my Silhouette cutter.

Filled a little pail with some "greenery".

Hung up some green.

Still can't take a decent picture of this ceiling. Believe me it looks much better in real life.

Hung up more green....

and ate lots of green.

SPRING FORWARD ??? SPRING BACK!!!

It's winter here again so I thought we needed a little "SPRING."

Just some cute little letters to brighten your surroundings.

They measure about 8" high and are just $25.00 a set.

If you have a spot that needs brightening up,
Just leave me a comment and
I would be happy to make you a set.

LITTLE GUY, BIG NAME!

Well I've been at it again.

Franklin is my youngest Grandson

And he needed something to put on the wall in his bedroom.

So not being one to let a challenge go by, this is what I came up with.

We still need to hang it up but I think he likes it.

YAY! IT'S SCOOTER TIME!

It got to almost 70 degrees here yesterday so I decided to get out my scooter. I love riding it around the neighborhood for a quick ride to clear my brain or to the grocery store for a few things.

Of course the Grand kids think that the only reason I have it is to give them rides. Uncle Josh got the honor yesterday.

Look at this happy face.

I ready for my turn Gwams!

I'm waiting up here.

I'm not looking at you no matter what.

Looking for trouble !?!?!?
